This is a wonderful B&B. The hosts are very welcoming and helpful. The accommodation is spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable. There are lots of nice touches, such as a big supply of local maps and books on sights and walks, which we used a lot, spare umbrellas and wellies, etc., The wifi was very quick. It felt a real 'home from home'. The breakfasts were fantastic and set us up for the whole day. We couldn't recommend this highly enough.

What a fabulous B&B!
We stayed for 2 nights and could happily have stayed for a week!
Our room was very well equipped and comfortable especially the huge bed!
Maureen and Peter were first class hosts. So friendly and informative and nothing was too much trouble.
The breakfasts were wonderful. Fresh and very tasty! The honeyed plums were to die for I had to ask for the recipe.
Alnwick is a lovely little town with plenty of places to eat but probably best to book a table at weekends.

Room tip: If you like a big bed ask for Courtyard View!

My wife and I stayed here only one night, which was a shame as the quality and standard of this accommodation I would rate as being extremely high, we could quite easily have stayed longer...........and actually while on the subject of a one night stay, when attempting to book our stay in Alnwick there were a few other properties I tried that were not interested in my booking, but this property obviously did accept the one night stay and was ultimately a good result for us and loss of business for the other properties.
When we arrived, Maureen the co-owner sat us down and served hot drinks and biscuits. We chatted with her and one other lady from New Zealand who was staying, it was all very welcoming and friendly.
We had the Church View room, which is very nicely decorated, nice warm colours, heavy furnishings, it all gives the feel that a lot of time and attention has been given to the detail and the look of the accommodation. The bed was extremely comfortable in which we had a really good nights sleep. The bathroom has a free standing bath (with shower hose) and a sink, again it is nicely decked out.
Breakfast was served downstairs in the front room, it was very good, choices of fruits and cereals and then Maureen takes your order and cooks a great bacon/sausage/egg etc meal.
Wifi is very quick and reliable.
The property is set in a side street opposite the catholic church and is a 5 min walk from the town center, the castle entrance is only 10mins away.
We had a really nice stay, would have no hesitation in staying here again and would recommend it as a top knotch B&B.

Stayed over Easter for three nights in Church View. The room is lovely, bed v comfy and we weren't disturbed at all by the (soft) church bells from over the road. The roomy en suite has a roll-top bath which was great after long walks but no stand up shower. Breakfast is varied and fantastic. In addition, Maureen and Peter are a fountain of information and so helpful; from the best way to get from a to b, to knowing the local restaurant well enough to be able to get you a place on a busy Saturday night.

From the moment we arrived Maureen and Peter excelled at every turn. My bedroom lacked for nothing , and breakfast was a feast in every way, Maureen and Peter went beyond the call of duty to make our short stay in Alnwick a holiday we will remember, and the sooner we can return the better . Feel as if we have known them forever .

Room tip: Both rooms equally excellent, room on the back has better shower facilities.
