Ate here 4 times in a week as the service and quality of food made it a no-brainer. Warm welcome from Kate each time and free carrot cake complete with candle on my husbands birthday, a lovely touch! Between us we sampled quiche, pea and mint soup with warm cheese scones, carrot cake and banana pancakes. Place orders at the counter. The coffee (Pilgrim) is particularly nice and is from Holy Island. A light bite each (quiche / soup) with a drink cost around £14. Nicely decorated with local art and photography for sale. Outside seating (lovely suntrap). Well-behaved dogs welcome. Free wifi. Located just off the A1 (signposted Rock I think). Kate - thanks for recommending Sycamore Gap, it was wonderful! Best of luck and hope to see you again when we return to Northumberland!
