The hotel is located just off M1 J16 near the junction of the A5 and the A45 making it an ideal stopping off point.
Good Hotel, Good Room, pity about the stairs. We were in room 9 which is on the 3rd floor with no lift, 42 steps, must get smaller suitcase, The room when you get there is very comfortable with good views over the Northamptonshire countryside. Just behind the hotel is the Grand Union Canal with good tow path walks.
The waitress at dinner was very helpful and attentive and when served the dinner was well presented and the portions generous, Breakfast the following morning was stupendous.
Thoroughly recommend this hotel with good comfortable rooms, good beer, good food, and pleasant friendly staff.

Room Tip: Rooms 8,9,10 on 3rd floor 42 steps no lift,

Very disappointed. Cobwebs in every part of room. Hotel very dusty. Asked for an iron and ironing board. The iron had thick black melted something on the bottom and the ironing board had a burnt melted mark on it and it looked like the iron had been scraped on it to try to clean it. They didn't have a replacement. Could not flush the toilet. Complained to manager and he said that they had had a blockage in the cellar ( we knew that because of the smell ) he gave us an empty ice cream container with some water in it and said to use this to flush the toilet and that he would get it sorted asap. We didn't see him again. Spoke to various members of staff but ??????? That happened on the Wednesday evening and we have just checked out on Friday and it still wasn't fixed. Not Nice.

This hotel was considerably better than many of the reviews suggest. Our room was modern, well presented and clean and the bathroom spacious. Breakfast ranged from pastries to full English with plenty of veggie options too. Evening bar meals are exceptional value with a two-for-price-of-one menu, and there's plenty of choice.
Overall, good value for money all round and ideal for stopovers.

Stayed here for as we were attending a wedding at Dodford Manor. We received a warm friendly welcome from Chelsea and were checked in and in our room (in the main building) within approx 5 minutes. The room and ensuite were a good size and the bed was really comfortable, the towels large and lovely and soft. We had lunch in the pub and had great table service from Paul and Chelsea.

We explained that we were attending a wedding and asked if they had taxi numbers for later and were immediately given two cards with numbers on and advised that they would book a taxi for us if we wished.

Would definitely stay again if attending another wedding at Dodford Manor. Keep up the good work guys.

For info Dodford Manor is approx 5 minutes drive away.

The room wasn't bad, it was ok for the price, and fairly well presented. I stayed in one of the annex rooms.

The bathroom however is appalling. The space around the toilet is non existent, and the shower door is hinged part way up the frame meaning that the when the door is open, you loose aperture width to get through. Now I'm sure this wouldn't be a problem is I was Snow White travelling with her many small companions, but I am 6'6" and not like a rake. I got in and managed to shower below the dribble of water, but this would stop me staying here again. I have added photos with my size 13 foot for scale.

Didn't eat the food or drink the beer, so can't comment on the quality of that.
