As a family group of six we went along on Sunday afternoon.
We all had the carver and three of us had starters. I had the mushrooms which was enjoyable followed by the carvery and we all agreed it was the best carvery we have had in a long time. There was certainly plenty of it. We followed this with puddings all having different things.
The service was also friendly and very good.
On our exit we had a look at their normal menu which was good plus it appears they do theme nights as well.
Will we return? You can be assured that we will.

We ate her with a friend last weekend as our first choice restaurant was fully booked - and we are so glad it was! What a gem this place is, great food, good service and run by one of the nicest couples ever. Try the steaks, full flavoured and cooked perfectly. Everything we had, from the scallops and Brie starters through to desserts, it was all perfect. We will definitely be back, I’m not sure the locals realise what a great pub they have.

Known as "that white gloves place" by friends who live nearby, because of the food service by white-gloved waiting staff. We went on Thursday which is "Grill Night" and we enjoyed excellent value and quality meat and fish dishes attentively served. A simple well made/garnished burger satisfied this reviewer.
Just a few locals in the bar and we were the only party in the restaurant so atmosphere understandably lacking.
Place run by Romanian couple and all the good for that, with super attention to detail and customer satisfaction. Exemplary in that respect !!!

Like most of the village, the building is located on a loop road off the Irthlingborough-Woodford road. It is easy to find, and has a generous number of car park paces out front. The welcome inside was warm and friendly, drinks were instantly arranged, and we were shown to our table and given menus. The selection for each course was not particularly extensive (about five items each), but all food is freshly prepared to order.

We did not have to wait too long for our food, which was nicely presented. Other reviewers have commented on the white gloves work by the staff serving the food, and yes - at first it does seem slightly 'retro', but on reflection we found it preferable to having the length of a bare thumb projecting over the rim if the plate. We were waited on by a number of staff mebers, and without fail they did their job politely and efficiently.

The food was well cooked and very tasty, and the portion sizes were good. We had a very pleasant meal and would certainly come back on a future occasion.
