Have visited the station a number of times since it first opened. People go there for a number of reasons. It has a two screen cinema showing the latest films. The cafe is good but a little expensive as there is no table service. The angles share bakery and archers Ice cream are both top notch. Well worth a stop off if you find yourself in Richmond...

Richmond Station is an amazing conversion. It is a terrific example of what the local community can achieve with determination. As a centre it is attractive in both winter and summer. In winter despite the size of the space it is warm and welcoming. Often there is an exhibition of art as now. There are two cinemas. There is a large open space occupied by a cafe/restuarant selling refreshments and food for the cold and hungry. There are many spaces for meetings, both formal and informal. The old platform acts as an attractive viewing and meeting place. Beyond the platform are a variety of artisan shops and workshops making icecream, honey, fudge, beer, cheeses etc and best of old wafting along this corridor is the smell of baking bread and cakes from the Angel's Share which sells divine produce to tempt you to indulge in. Overall this is a lively, thriving centre with a real buzz and welcoming atmosphere. Should you need help or advice there are always cheerful volunteers on hand with advice and guidance. No wonder over 300 000 tourists and residents enjoy this spot each year...what a tribute to community enterprise...the fact that £2.7 million was raised in itself is amazing. Don't miss it we love it.
