Don't normally eat chips, but when your at the sea side... It's a must!
They were absolutely delicious.
The service was fantastic, the staff were very polite and friendly, the prices were reasonable for the location.
We paid.....
£3.99 for mini fish and chips.
£4.99 for medium fish and chips, but it was a massive portion.
£1.59 for a big tray of chips.
79p for a small sausage.
The total was around about £12 for a family to eat chips in a lovely location.

Me and my sister visited here on Easter Monday and to say it was our first visit we were not disappointed. Lauren our waitress was lovely! Nothing was too much trouble for her and she was so friendly! And not pushy like some people can be. The food was beautiful and definitely worth the money. Would recommend and will definitely be visiting again in the near future!

Had the sharing starter for 2 very disappointed in that I could of eaten it to my self. My daughter who's 8 had the prawn cocktail which was the right size and presented well in a small goblet and wooden chopping bord. For are mains we had a wait of about 25-30 minutes. I had the seafood plater the prawns were really good the fish was a little dry and the batter was dripping in oil but the salmon was good. My wife had the haddock and chips which was of a good size and stated that it was ok. My daughter had the chicken nuggets and chips which she liked very good portion she also had the ice cream desert with bubble gum flavouring on top one scoop of ice cream! Very poor.
All in all the meal was ok but I don't belive the price represents what you get after all it's just posh fish and chips.

Lovely sunny day, Thursday after Easter, Cleethorpes is busy. Thankfully we had booked a table for 5 for 13.00, however one of our party was struggling to find a car park space and would be a little late.
So 4 of us entered the restaurant, were shown menus, we ordered drinks, they arrived and the waitress said she would return to take our order when the 5th person arrived.
At 13.10 the 5th person of our party arrived. We then waited for the waitress to return. By 13.30 we asked another member of the staff can we have our order taken, another member of staff then took our order. At 14.00 no food had arrived, again we had to find another member of staff to ask what was happening?, when would the food arrive?
During the waiting time we noticed one adjacent table return their food that was being delivered due to the order being wrong, and another large tabe behind us walked out due to non arrival of food.
14.10 food arrived, well 4 meals out of the 5 ordered , and side order of bread and butter also did not arrive. By 14.20, the 4 meals were nearly finished before the 5th meal arrived and then a further request for the bread and butter.
One of our party then left the table to complain to who we believed was the manager. yes he was full of apologies, offered us some additionaal drinks, advised us that one fryer was faulty, even though that should not be a reason for the delay. Unfortuately
even though the fish was excellent, the dining experience was ruined by very poor disorganised service. Additionally disappointed with the chips, which were small, bit like offcuts/scraps.

Communication to the paying customer is important in any business. If there was a problem with a fryer tell customers when they are ordering or when there is a delay with food.

It was noticeable that many staff are employed, many of them were young, they all seemed to have their set jobs, and worked hard . It was just a pity all staff dressed similar, as you could not tell who were the people who took food orders , so we knew who to speak to when trying to have our order taken or chase up non arrival of food.

Additionally I noticed as I left, that the take away part of the business was doing a roaring trade, lovely looking fish and large fresh fried chips, so any fryer problem seemed to be only affecting meals in the restaurant. Perhaps a re focussing of resources could have helped the dining experience.

Very Disappointed.
