We are so lucky to have this place on our door step.
Lovely walk up to the top even for our 3yr old! Interesting museum, that has great staff and a brilliant treasure hunt for the kids! Very well maintained. Cafe is lovely & reasonably priced.
The surrounding gardens are good walk too. And at the bottom a huge kids play area.

A brilliant walk up with stunning views and enough of the walls and rooms left to envisage what it must have been like in Norman Times to be defending the ground. Interesting museum gift shop and nice cafe.
