“World's biggest micro pub”
Review of Holmes Mill

Holmes Mill
Ranked #32 of 148 Restaurants in Clitheroe
Description: Home to Bowland Beer Hall and possibly the longest bar in Britain. The big idea... to bring this former textile mill back to life as a food, drink and leisure hub. The whole scheme, once complete, will include a 30 bedroom hotel, gym, pool and urban spa, plus a food hall for the area's fabulous local produce.

Worth a visit just to see the bar and the steam engine. Atmosphere and range and quality of beers does not disappoint. Reminds me of the top american micro brewery/pubs.

Been to the Beer Hall a couple of times now, once mid week at lunchtime and also, later on Easter Sunday. It’s a great place with a tremendous atmosphere and the bar and Engine Room are truly superb places to enjoy a few drinks and a meal.
The choices of beer is absolutely massive and covers all tastes with draft and bottled options, there is also a very wide range of shorts and wines too, all served in an efficient but friendly manner.
Meals are good but the menu choice in the Beer Hall is low however the food is freshly cooked and very tasty, again it’s served well.
Also visited the Food Hall which is a great place to see and buy some of the finer local and wider available foods and drinks.
All in all I can fully recommend Holmes Mill and just wish it was more local to me than it is.

Belated Birthday lunch for a dear Brother. His choice of venue and what a good choose!! Can't quite believe the fabulous interior, someone has fantastic taste. No expense has been spared and we were very, very impressed. The facilities are great too. Now to the food. Lovely menu, great choice and so very well presented. A smashing experience and we can't wait to visit again. Very impressive. My only quibble is the price of wine.

Second visit within a week. Really good food, not fast, friendly service and great beer. Good place to sit back and relax. Good homemade burgers and southern fried chicken

We visited Holmes Mill for the 3rd time, but the first where we ate. We had previously popped in for a drink and also to pick some ingredients from the great food hall.

The nibbles of Nachos and Chicken Wings were perfectly fine. The mains of Crispy Chicken and Steak Pie with chunky chips and mushy peas very average. The chips were tepid and peas cold. The Chicken was soggy and cold. The pie itself was tasty but wasn't that far removed from a Hollands ( no issue with Hollands tho!). No-one cleared the barely eaten meals away so when asked by the gent at the till how the food had been we simply said a bit disappointing and explained why. Without checking the plates or quibbling in any way the cost of both main meals was deducted from the bill. On that basis alone we will give it another go.
