We stay here once a year when visiting family in the area. It’s good value for money, consistent and clean. The staff are very helpful and professional. Breakfast is decent with plenty of choice from yoghurts, fruit, cooked food, croissants etc. It would be nice to have a choice of bread. By the time we got there, there was toast or croissants. The room itself was clean and comfortable and a decent size. The price for the room and breakfast was really reasonable. The rooms are a good size and the beds are comfy. There is some noise from the motorway, but not enough to stop you sleeping. Overall, pretty good value.

Changed jobs and new co travel policy isn’t as high £ as previous. Booked into HIE as on budget.
Pleasantly surprised. Bright, clean, and quality facilities. Not as premier as their competitor and food offring not as good a selection. Breakfast OK though and that’s the important one. I’d bring in or order takeaway in future.
Pleasant and helpful staff.
Happy to use HIE for all future business trips.

Spent two nights here with my wife, visiting friends nearby. This is our hotel of choice in the area, situated in a road which runs parallel to the M65, just a couple of minutes from the motorway exit, however there is a complex roundabout to navigate, especially in the dark!
The hotel is very welcoming with two charging points for electric/hybrid cars. The rooms are clean, quiet, well supplied and serviced. The breakfast is buffet style with a good choice of hot and cold items. In the evening, a choice of meals is served. In reception, there is a drinks vending machine and an ice machine. There is a large car park, free wi-fi and comfortable beds. A nice package!

I had hoped when I booked this hotel that although I know it would be close to the motorway I did not realise that the noise of the traffic would be so bad in my room.

Don't get me wrong, this is a clean home with friendly staff however I was located on the third floor on the motorway side of the hotel which is above any trees used to dampen the noise

Also the windows are cheap double glazed rather than any quality so it's seems that profits have been put above guests stay.

I did ask to be moved at around 6pm but was told that there was no room on the other side of the hotel. I do hope those who checked in after me had a better sleep than me.

If you want a good night sleep, avoid.

Stayed here a few years ago (under very different circumstances) and it was good enough then, perhaps even a little better now. The room was almost identical to all other HIE rooms which is good, clean, and functional, and at £55 for a double inc (self serve) breakie it wasn't bad at all.
