“Lovely cottage in great location”
Reviewed 2 February 2016 for a stay in April 2015

Stour Cottage is a lovely holidays cottage located in the heart of Sandwich.
The cottage is well decorated and very well equipped with all you need for relaxing and enjoyable holidays.
There is a garage allocated to the property and plenty of car park spaces available in the area too.
We have stayed at the cottage on many occasions over the years as it has all we need as well as being spotless.
The owner is only few minutes away in case you need anything and very friendly and wanting to please its guests.
We highly recommend this holidays cottage.

“Cute cottage, perfect location, everything we hoped for.”
Reviewed 2 February 2016 for a stay in June 2015

We booked this cottage at the last minute for a short break to have a rest. The cottage was well equipt and comfortable and so convenient for everything (though very quiet) that we didn't use the car, we just walked everywhere. Loved the history of the town and how pretty it was. There were so many places we wanted to visit and didn't have time we'll definitely be back. Great dog friendly pubs close to the cottage which do lovely food, especially the Kings Arms which is only 5 minutes walk. Want to visit Canterbury Cathedral next time.

I'm so pleased that you enjoyed your stay and liked the cottage. There are indeed a lot of interesting places and attractions to visit locally and further afield. You could even do the 20 minute to Dover and take a day trip over to France. I look forward to welcoming you back again soon.

“Small but lovely”
Reviewed 14 December 2015 for a stay in November 2015

We had planned to stay for a whole week at Stour Cottage but due to a family emergency we had to leave after only a couple of days.

The house is smack bang in the middle of Sandwich so you can fall out of your door into some excellent bars, restaurants and shops.

The house itself is compact, but fine for just 2 people. We also had a dog with us which made it a little cramped as there wasn't really anywhere for his cage, but we managed.

Comments have been made on other sites about the house needing a little TLC, and yes there may have been a few cracks here and there and a bit of peeling paint, but this doesn't make any difference to the enjoyment of the property. It is clean and fresh and worth a visit.

Parking was a bit cramped, but didn't have any difficulties. Didn't have access to the garage so not sure if we would have fit in there.

I'm so pleased you enjoyed your stay. Unfortunately the previous guests to you mistakenly took the garage keys home with them, which have now been returned, so I am sorry you weren't able to use the garage. There are planned works to renovate the window frames in the spring as it's not possible to do this to a good standard in the wetter months. This should smarten the cottage up no end. Also glad the location suited you. Sandwich is a great place to visit with dogs especially. I hope that you'll come and visit again soon.
