Stopped off for a Sunday Roast and it was the best decision we could have made.

There was a great range for the roast and it's clearly popular as we were only just able to get a table. The portions are massive, which is just what you want on a cold winter's day, and the meat was even offered rare, medium and well done... most impressively, it was actually delivered as requested.

The vegetarian nut roast is the best we've ever had, and cam with veggie gravy (which most places forget about). The roast potatoes are to die for. And the service most definitely comes with a smile.

It's all very reasonably priced and the quality of the food makes it a bargain. If you're in Sandwich, pop in for dinner, you won't be disappointed.

Thank Rachel B

Nice surroundings, not overcrowded, good service. Had roast beef with all the trimmings. Beef was beautifully pink and tender, crispy roasties, 7 different veggies all nicely cooked and crispy yorkshire pudds and gravy. Excellent, def recommend the quaint old English pub restaurant.

Four of us turned up at the red cow sandwich today without booking. The staff were great and fitted us in for lunch. We were turned away from another pub which is fair enough as we didn't book, but I'm so glad we were. The service was good, all the staff polite and the food was amazing. We all had roast dinners, I had roast pork and it was one of the nicest meals I've had. There was plenty of food and we all left full. I couldn't fault anything. The roast potatoes were superb. I will def go back but will book next time. Thanks guys

just been to the red cow, the dinner, lamb shanks, was very good as was the service. but the one thing that spoilt the dinner was no cheese and biscuits alternative to a dessert, very poor. otherwise I would have rated the cow higher.

my friend said when she came back to the table. Yes, a lot of refurbishment has been going on lately, which is nice to see. Hopefully, the dining chairs will be re-covered, too.
The Sunday roast was very tasty and the young waitress amazingly professional. Well done to her! After several awful visits, we have been avoiding this place, but we will certainly be returning in the not-too-distant future.
