Looked inviting so me and friend popped in for lunch. Had a lovely cheese omelette, chips and salad, friend had fish and chips. Milky coffee was great and then friend had ice cream whilst I tucked into homemade apple crumble and custard which was gorgeous. If you like good homecooked food with friendly service and very reasonable prices then this is the place to visit - will definitely be returning to try other dishes on the vast menu!

A bust venue at lunchtime, filled with local residents, and very welcoming to tourists. We had the fifteen vegetable soup which was very reasonably priced, delicious and piping hot on a cold day for sightseeing around Sandwich, followed by some large and thoroughly enjoyable slices of cake. Service was excellent and very friendly. Though very bust, food was served efficiently and with a warm smile. The photos from past times in Sandwich on the walls were interesting and when one of the local residents realised our interest, she was telling us all about where some of them were taken. The owner / manager then gave us a book to look through as this contained yet more historical photos. Sandwich as a whole is a friendly place, but the The Haven took this to a higher level still. Food and atmosphere brilliant.

Lunch... we all had something different, one cooked breakfast, one Gammon and chips (looked very nice), one pie and with veg etc and I had Chilli con carne with rice... which was quite hot on the chilli front... I think it had an actual chilli in it!
