We arranged to go to the Cinnamon Spice with friends as they had not eaten here previously. We had, as always a very good very tasty meal at a very reasonable price. Now our friend like us will be regulars at this quality restaurant.

Not top notch but not too bad either. right on the sea front this Indian was able to provide a table for 7 when a lot of other places were heaving ....which made us suspicious, but unfounded suspicions as it turned out. vegetarian options were plentiful and the rest of the party had no problems with the meat. food was adequately spiced, avoiding the sometimes bland "boil in the bag" awfulness of some Indians. cost was reasonable but a big blunder from the restaurant was their card machine was on the blink, luckily we had enough cash on us but really they should have done 2 things - had a sign on the window advising this and also advised us verbally before ordering .....neither was done and this is poor management. However we were all adequately fed and had no complaints regarding quality for the price point. Adeqaute furnishing /ambience but not a "couples" or "romantic" option, too functional and Spartan.

Came here on a Wednesday evening for a quick meal. The food was very nice, tasty and hot but the service was lack lustre and at times quite brisk.
After eating we waited ages for our bill despite the fact that the place was basically empty... overall nice food but service is probably better elsewhere.

We popped in here on a Monday night without booking and were immediately accommodated. Nice clean restaurant with views of the beach. Most of us had the seafood bhuna. It was fabulous, enough seafood - king scallops, squid, fish fillet & tiger prawns - and cooked to perfection. Reasonably priced too. Staff friendly and helpful.

We don't often have soup in an Indian restaurant but after a day in the car we wanted to line our stomachs and ordered spiced pea soup. It had green chillies but was described as mild. My wife checked with the waiter, who assured us it wasn't hot. It was, far too hot to taste the other ingredients - ginger, cumin and coriander. We had to ask for yoghurt, and even then we didn't enjoy it.

We both had biryani, the Cinnamon Spice Special and the Lentil & Vegetable. We didn't notice the 'arrangement in a platter with tasteful decorations' or the fried Kashmiri plums, but they were tasty and we enjoyed them. The portions were generous, and my wife only managed half of hers.

The décor is functional rather than stylish; service prompt and friendly; reasonable prices; just a pity about that soup!
