I had actually been booked by friends into the Channel View so was a bit surprised on arrival to be told I was actually going to be in a room in the pub. I was going to a golden wedding and knew I would be reasonably late back so was not too troubled. It was disappointing that the view was more backyard roofs than channel view but not the end of the world. The room was a good size with a double and single bed, clean and comfortable and with a top class bathroom and shower.
I went out and returned at midnight ready for bed. In my room the music was so loud it sounded like an amp in my room and it continued, interrupted only by very raucous individuals - mostly female - until just after one a.m. Then, for another 30 minutes, there was only the squawking " conversation " from the ladies in the pub and the back area. Until that ceased I had given up, got out of bed and read a book as sleep was out of the question. Eventually around 1.30 peace reigned (once, from the sound of it, the empty beer casks had been noisily rolled out into the backyard).
This is not the place, at least at weekends, to book for a decent nights sleep. It is a shame as the room was generally good - view apart though not good value at £85 for B and B for one.
The breakfast was first class and I liked the fact the tea came in a big pot with plenty in it rather than the ubiquitous single cup stainless steel pot which burns your hand when you try to use it.
If the Channel View rooms are as nice as the pub ones then it would be wise to insist on booking that you are placed there and not in the pub. I suspect you might still get a bit of the noise there but I am sure it would not be as overwhelming as in the pub rooms.

Room Tip: Avoid staying in the pub rooms at least at weekends, though other reviews suggest quiz nights might...

Coach driver recommended Kings Head so we had a really nice Capuchino each before a Cider for June and a Spitfire lager for me. Lovely pub friendly landlord would like to go again as the weather was good we sat outside in Beer Garden

Very comfortable twin room with what looked like a newly installed double shower which was excellent. The pub offers a great selection of real ale and the service is always very friendly. The location is very convenient and prime for Deal

Everyone enjoyed their food here, my friends all had the fish and chips was a huge and tasty and there were some nice vegetarian options on the specials board for me. The buildings here are covered in beautiful hanging baskets and overflowing with flowers.

Just spent 3 days staying at The Kings Head and can honestly say it was fab. Room was lovely, great views, brilliant bed, so comfortable, and fantastic shower, really powerful! The food served in the pub was great, and the staff so helpful and friendly. We will be back!
