We'd heard good things about the pub so went Saturday lunchtime. Waited a good 5 minutes for someone to serve at the bar as she was also waitressing. Friendly but when we asked if food was bring served were shown the blackboard with half a dozen things including jacket potatoes and cabana. Having established what options there were for the cabana ordered 2 and 2 sides of chips. Having the kitchen open to the dining room is slightly off putting whrn you can hear EVERY conversation they're having. Toilets were an absolute disgrace with broken locks, broken toilet roll holders, tiles full of holes.

The food was OK but nothing special, yes fresh cabana, but you'd expect that. Chips were boiling hot but had a rather oily taste.

Would stop for a drink in the summer if passing on a long walk but not for food. There was a lack of atmosphere and generally felt like it all needed a deep clean. Disappointed.

We went to this pub for lunch, not having read any reviews, we went with an open and unbiased mind! The menu was three courses for £20 or two for £16. As we didn't wasn't to 'fill ourselves up' we opted for two courses, main and dessert. The monkfish scam, sorry, scampi duly arrived, all five pieces of it, accompanied with 6 chips. Duly devoured in about 10 mins - it took that long as it was hot! We decided to have the cheeseboard for dessert. Five small wafer like biscuits and four (little as in pinky) finger like pieces of cheese duly arrived. To say we went home hungry would be an understatement! I got out the proper cheeseboard as soon as we got home. Had my 28 year old son accompanied us he would have had to have this meal all over again. To be fair, the food was very nice, there just wasn't enough to fill us up. Needless to say we won't be returning and we are local too!

Came for a feed. Was fully booked. Had beers instead. Great.

Service fine, beers and ciders well kept. Hosts funny and engaged with the clientele. I like this place.

went for dinner with friends thought the food portions were small, but as the quality of the ingredients were very good, we did not feel hungry at all.
The food was well presented and well cooked.
The staff were very pleasant as were the surroundings, a lovely evening was had by all.
