Where to start? Simply the most utterly fantastic couple of hours I have every spent. Greeted by lovely, friendly staff who took time to explain all about the beautiful alpacas they had there, then we were able to spend time feeding them (and the adorable goats too). Finally, the opportunity to take them on a lovely walk! Such amazing creatures! Our visit was fun, informative, light-hearted, great value for money and we all left feeling totally in love with those adorable alpacas (especially Daphne and Gaby). Would strongly recommend a visit here for this experience.

What a fantastic place to visit. Peter was thoroughly entertaining, telling us all about the animals and the farm, and I highly recommend a visit here. We had a lovely walk with our Gabrielle, who was just beautiful, and spent a great couple of hours here, cuddling the baby goats, learning about the alpacas and just generally having a great time. Contact Joy and Peter directly for the best deals on tickets, and try and get there yourselves to see how great it is. We will be back!!

Can't recommend this place highly enough. We loved our experience. The couple who own the farm are really lovely and very knowledgeable.

We had a really fun few hours at this farm. Our kids (both 7) herded, fed, petted and lead-walked the alpacas. The owners were so friendly and introduced the girls to lots of different alpacas, each with their own name, story and character. It was a really interactive experience. The alpacas seem very relaxed with people (especially if you’re feeding them), happy/healthy, and also a bit nosy, so it’s pretty funny to watch them whilst they stare back at you. You can get a decent lunch or coffee at the nearby Conkers garden centre as well if you want to stretch it into a day out.

The Alpaca experience lasts about 2 hours starting at about 11:00.

It's deep in the countryside and you need to follow their directions on their website to avoid wrong turns! It's on the borders of Up Nately & Mapledurwell villages - when you see the Mapledurwell village sign, Pennybridge Farm is immediately on the right.

The visit starts with a lively & very informative talk about Alpacas followed by everyone having a go at feeding the Alpacas as well as nearby goats.

After feeding time, the Alpacas are harnessed up ready for the walk. You can choose one if you wish otherwise one will be given to you and it's usually one Alpaca between 2 people.

The walk is round the farm footpaths and it's all on the flat - no hills or steps.

The Alpacas are pretty gentle & delightful creatures and are easily managed on a tight rein and it's just a very relaxing session walking them around.

There are Alpaca souvenirs & gifts available and occasionally Alpaca wool for knitting.

Very friendly people own & run the farm and walk round with you.

Overall it was a really good way of spending a few hours in the countryside doing something very different!

A bit of advice - it is a farm in the countryside and you really need sensible footwear - like a lot of visitor farms you do have to dip your footwear in disinfectant on arrival so flip-flops, sandals & canvas shoes not a good idea!
