The title of this review says it all, absolutely outstanding chips cooked to perfection. Delicious mushy peas. There's often a queue at this place and its little wonder why!

As always the fish and chips here are truly delicious, the best I have ever eaten. The fish is so fresh. The tartare sauce is scrummy.

We arrived late in the evening after travelling and were really looking forward to some fish and chips. We arrived at 8.45pm to be told they had no fish left and could only have chips. They were good chips admittedly but what fish and chip shop closes this early on a Friday night ?? Restaurant also not open in evening.

Called here and had fish, chips and mushy peas, they were piping hot and thoroughly delicious. We sat inside to eat them and the staff are friendly and polite.

After a long wait the cod and chips looked great and in line with the good reviews I had seen. The batter was crispy and the chips good but that is where it stopped as the fish was deceptive. Well overcooked, dry and little flesh on it. A let down and a little greasy as well. The sting came later in that they soon repeated on me and this continued for the rest of day and I could not face anything else to eat at all. You have been warned. I will NOT return. Very poor overall.
