We booked afternoon tea here whilst staying at a windmill nearby.

We were greeted and asked where we would like to be seated for our tea, we chose the library which was a small room overlooking the gardens.

We were asked what beverages we would like and our afternoon tea was served shortly afterwards. The food that arrived was beautifully presented and tasted very good. There was a lovely selection of sandwiches and an excellent variety of cakes and the scones were served warm.

The service we received was fantastic, you couldn't fault it from booking over the telephone to the moment we left.

We would not hesitate in going back or recommending this place. If in the area we will be back!

We were looking for a hotel for the night at very short notice having been let down by our original accommodation in the same area .
The team found us two rooms to accommodate our party of four plus our pooch .
The rooms were well furnished and comfortable - great bathrooms
Beds extremely comfortable
Dinner was set and served for us in the bar area to accommodate our dog and was reset for breakfast the following morning , there were other guests staying with pooches in tow
Great menu available and food was excellent - could not be faulted - beautifully presented.
Breakfast the following morning was cooked to order , plentiful and used very good quality local produce.
This hotel has amazing grounds and a good size car park
Dog friendly - jars of dog treats on reception and in all main areas
Staff were professional , extremely helpful and made us feel very welcome
Defiantly went the extra mile for us
We had a very enjoyable stay , would highly recommend and look forward to another visit to the property
Thank you everyone for making our stay so enjoyable .
We give the family and team a five star rating

Good to be back here again - very much out of season and the dining room was very quiet. Good selection of dishes on the menu and all freshly prepared. The staff were welcoming, efficient and attentive throughout the meal. The setting of this establishment is very pleasant, tucked away in Upper Sheringham and the house is well appointed (if a little chilly). But thank you for a pleasant experience.

Room Tip: Only used the public rooms on the ground floor

Thank you for your lovely comments, sorry if you felt that the building was chilly - we do normally have all 4 fire burning - so sorry if they weren't when you visited. Glad you enjoyed your lunch and I hope that we get to welcome you again in the future.

My partner and I went for a romantic weekend away here, and loved it. Beautiful hotel, very warm, welcoming staff, great food. Breakfast was fab, and we had supper here one night and it was fabulous.

Big fluffy towels and dressing gowns in the hotel room were a nice touch (I hate those tiny 'hotel towels' you often get) and it was very warm and pleasant. The shower was great - very hot and strong pressure.

No criticism at all. Stunning grounds although January maybe not the best time to enjoy them! We spent hours walking; it's the perfect base for a walking holiday.
