Just spent a few days in Holt At The Lawns Hotel, which is a very good location in the town, very nice staff welcome on arrival. Room comfortable and warm, bathroom a good size, and breakfast offers a very good choice of menu, We enjoyed a lunch at the Folly tea room and Garden, which was excellent, also a evening meal at the Kings Head where the Mac and Cheese was fabulous ! Holt is a good location to explore the surrounding area, Sherringham, Wells or a trip to Norwich.

We had 2 nights and could not fault the location. The room was OK with a nice big comfy double bed. We were on second floor with view over school, but wasn't there for view. We had breakfast twice both were lovely especially the poached eggs. There was lots of stuff on the buffet you can help yourself to as well. We decided to have dinner on the Saturday and that was very nice as well, though they seemed to be a bit understaffed with only 2 people taking orders serving and running a very busy bar. The room was nice, with freeview TV. The bathroom only had a hand shower over the bath which made it difficult for washing your hair . The heating was strange as it seemed to be on all day and go off about 5 at night. Luckily there was electric heater in cupboard. There was also a faulty doorknob on wardrobe which kept coming off. Little bit more attention to detail and this would be fantastic , but I would still stay again

Room Tip: second floor, though not sure what its like on 1st floor but over the bar and conservatory so could get noisy especially in summer.

We have stayed here a few times and there is always a warm welcome and efficient service from the staff. No lifts, so if you can't manage steep narrow stairs make sure you ask for one of the garden rooms. Breakfast is 'waited on' and offers a superb choice from full English to smoked haddock. Easy to find with on site parking. An ideal Norfolk Hotel.

Room Tip: Ground floor room if you can't manage stairs

More like a local pub .drunken local
kept coming upto table.
Staff not dressed professional in own day to day clothes and very rude and short with members of the party.
Was hoping for a special dinning experience but could have been in a motor way bar
