This is an amazing place to stay, The hosts Sarah and Paul really do go the extra mile to make one feel properly 'looked after'. Lots of special touches such as fresh flowers in the room, great selection of hot drinks in room, soaps and shampoo to use. The bed and pillows so very comfortable, so that I slept like a baby! And, of course, Sarah's breakfasts are delicious and kept us going for the whole day! Go stay here, you won't regret it!

If anybody is seeking a friendly, efficient, go the extra mile place to stay near Fakenham, Bay Tree Cottage fits the bill. Sarah and Paul are incredibly helpful. Breakfasts are superb- fruit salad, yoghurts, toast, croissants, full English, kippers, scrambled eggs etc all brilliantly cooked and presented. Beds are extra comfortable now with memory foam mattresses. That this is the third visit says it all really! The visit coincided with my 70th birthday- a card on arrival was certainly a lovely surprise.

We booked this B&B because of it's No:1 rating on Trip Advisor and boy does it deserve it's prime rating.
My wife was attending the Norfolk Painting School nearby on a 5 day painting course so we decided to book Bay Tree for six nights and I stayed as well to explore Norfolk with my camera. When we arrived in the evening after an 8 hour drive from West Wales we had a lovely warm greeting from Sarah and parked easily. We were shown to a lovely warm, clean, comfortable room with excellent tea and coffee making facilities and nice touches such as welcome chocolates and home baked biscuits.
We were given really nice advices on local pubs and restaurants and found plenty of places to eat just minutes walk into town. We slept in comfortable beds and the best pillows I've ever had, we even asked Sarah where we could purchase the same. In the mornings Sarah prepared gorgeous fresh fruit salads for breakfast. The dining room looked out onto a lovely garden and we often watched Paul collect fresh eggs from their hens for a wonderfully cooked full english breakfast. Sarah and Paul made us feel very at home and nothing was too much trouble. We feel like we became friends by the end of our stay they are such lovely easy going people. We would definitely recommend Bay Tree Cottage and will be staying their again when my wife attends another painting course.

Room Tip: The twin room was superb..

Our third visit to Bay Tree Cottage! That says it all really, but let's add a couple of extra reasons for choosing this place for a couple of nights. Attention to detail and kindness are the watchwords- even down to getting us the morning paper when we found the local shop had closed down. Remembering S's predilection for chocolates and fresh coffee- both ready and waiting in the room. Even the hens obliged with fresh eggs despite the Autumnal weather- obviously well-trained.
