Located at the Dalhousie bus stop, Kumar’s is a mid range hotel with 42 rooms. This 35 years old property has maintained the look and feel quite well. My perception changed the moment I entered at the reception. The spacious room in minus one floor took us by surprise. I had not expected a room so big attached with a cute little balcony. Inspite of a sofa, a double bed, almirah, dressing table, centre table and study table, there was ample space to walk around. The biggest turn on was the large window with sunshine sun shine gushing in. Kumar’s has service staff which is on their toes and ready to accommodate any request from guests. They have been quite helpful and cooperative.
Food menu is reasonably priced. One extra point for the lip smacking food by the cooks. We ordered Malai Kofta and matar paneer on two different days for dinner. Both the times the food tasted outstanding. Breakfast buffet was average as I found less variety. However, the simple spread was well made and worth appreciating.
Irrespective the location, the interiors are quite. No noise of crowd or howling buses interfered in our peace of mind.More
