This was our first time here and were were glad we checked it out. We are from Columbus,Ohio and are staying in the Mt Vernon area for a few weeks. Decided to check out some of the local restaurants and this place was recommended to us. The ambiance was nice, restaurant was clean and it had a short north vibe going on. Menu had variety and the food was tasty. My favorite was the dessert as it was quite creative- upside down pecan apple pie that was made in house. The owner was friendly and talked with us about the history behind the restaurant which was really cool. Would definitely go back if in the area again!

It is really great that Fredericktown has such a good restaurant. The food was very good, there was a microbrewery show casing their beer which was good and there was an acoustic band. Atmosphere and service was fantastic. Highly recommend this place.

Well the place had a nice look to it . The food was pretty good ,not outstanding the service was ok , not many people were eating there I think cause the price were to high .

Had dinner with friends on a Saturday night. They must’ve been short-staffed because the server was one we had never seen before. He was trying very hard to fill in but it was obvious this wasn’t his “real” job. Regardless, we all had great meals and a great time. We had the special which was corned beef and cabbage, steak salad, and a cheeseburger...all were excellent..but the best was the apple pecan dessert! Casual atmosphere with great food.

The meal was incredible. Very well prepared and tasted like I was in a 5-star restaurant in Miami or New York City. Well worth the drive from anywhere.
