Fados has your typical Irish pub feel- dark and lots of wood. Although it is large, it maintains the small pub feel with lots of small spaces created with wooden railings. The menu has a nice variety. The Fadó Reuben (corned beef, coleslaw, Swiss, Marie Rose sauce on marbled rye) was very good and had a unique flavor because of the slaw and sauce used instead of the typical sauerkraut and 1000 island dressing. The Shepherd's Pie is made with ground beef and vegetables in a rich sauce topped with colcannon. It was very flavorful. The sauce used stands out. It is served with Kale & Barley Salad and Guinness cheddar bread. The salad was delicious! We also ordered two "smalls" - basically sliders. We selected the Irish Toastie (Maplewood smoked all natural ham, cheddar, mango chutney) and the
Cuban (ham, Irish rasher, Swiss, pickle, mustard). Again they put their twist on the traditional Cuban and that made it tasty and unique. Monday is trivia night. So it was a lively fun place to be!
