My wife and I stayed here on the fourth of July weekend. We are tent campers. The spot was nice. Had a bit of woods around it. Not too close to your neighbours. For a holiday weekend it was rather quiet. We saw some other campgrounds in the Mohican area while rafting on the Kokosing and they were plagued with obnoxious spring break types. Ugh!! They have fire wood for for bucks a bundle, delivered to your site! The bathrooms and showers were very clean at all hours of the day. Great place for kids with a heated pool, over sized sand box with lots of trucks, and a volleyball court. Nice catch and release fishing lake. They also seem to hold special events like movie nights. Overall a great place to stay, and a nice getaway.

We stayed for 2 nights and had a good time. This is a place out of the way and a good way from the interstate, through small towns and narrow roads. The site was big and good enough, but feel to pay for the games room was not good. It's the same amount for the length of your stay so for just 2 days we did not bother with it, although the room looked good with lots of games. Good value if you were there a week! The pool looked nice, however, we didn't use that either. The TV could only get about 4 channels over the antenna. Found out too late that a third night would have been free with our 2 night mid week stay? Internet stated cabins, but applies to RV sites also.

I am compelled to write a review given the fact that the only other one I saw for this KOA was favorable. We stayed here for a week in a very large diesel coach (41') pulling a large enclosed trailer - our overall length is 66'. The KOA is located off the main hwy about 5 miles from the small town of Butler. You turn off the hwy onto a narrow paved road that's not in good shape. The campground is all gravel and there is obviously some issues with that when they get hard rains (flooding, mud holes etc). We booked a large pull thru and had to move to another one because our coach got stuck in the first one - had to back up and go to a different one. The pull thru's are long enough - their just very unlevel. If you usually choose KOA's you will be disappointed with these sites. I can say from all our years as a KOA member and customer that this one isn't the norm. It was purchased a couple years ago and it definitely needs a lot of work on those pull thru's. If you plan to stay in a tent, camper, cabin or small Class A or C, you should be fine. But I really wouldn't recommend this to anyone in our size category. With that being said, the staff are super friendly and helpful. We're older folks and our children are grown - but they did seem to have lots of activities for the kids. Loudonville is about 10 miles from the campground and there are tons of activities there as well. I think this particular campground works out the best for locals with young families and kids.

We traveled with 4 adults, 6 kids ages 14-7, and a puppy for a family getaway. Everyone, including our 4 legged family member had a wonderful time. The staff was very accomodating and helpful. The fellow campers were in good spirits and having fun as well despite the rain. The kids loved riding the firetruck and the adults loved getting the kids wet as they drove by. The activities were done well for the kids and we now have enough tie-dye items for the next couple of years. The owners were kind as well as the staff. The game room was $5 for an armband but this was worth it because the kids could play as they wanted through the day. The campground was well maintained and the bathrooms were clean. We did not have wifi due to lightning hitting their equipment. This was a bonus for me as our work e-mails were not alerting us. If internet was needed it was availbale at the office. We will be back and booked our next stay before we left. See ya in 2 weeks Tom and Bev!
