On arrival we received a very warm welcome from Deb. We had a lovely ground floor room with its own little courtyard terrace. I’d definitely recommend this room if you have big bags. We asked for a recommendation in town for a light lunch and we went to Hectors on the wharf which suited us very well.
We had booked the foodie package available on the Saturday evening when the hotel restaurant is also open to the public and Juliet is the chef. The evening was fun and the food very tasty in particular the saltbush tempura and the coconut miso and matcha dessert.
Breakfast is delivered to your room and there is a good selection which is also skilfully prepared by Juliet.
We enjoyed our stay at The Australasian and would stay again if ever in the areaMore
