We spent the most enjoyable stay at this very well run boutique hotel.

On arrival, Deb showed us to the parlour room which was very well appointed and well above our expectations
On the Saturday night, we had dinner which was prepared by Juliette and I have to say it was amazing. The desert was to die for, the best I have experienced in all my travels around the world.
This boutique hotel is well worth a visit and will not disappoint.

Room Tip: Well worth paying a little extra to stay in the Parlour room

Hello Gary S! We sincerely thank you for reviewing our boutique hotel and the dining room. Juliet is still smiling after reading your praise for her food, in particular the dessert! We hope to host you again or your friends. Cheers!

On arrival we were met by the delightful Deb, who showed us to our room and explained our weekend. She didn’t disappoint as every step delivered in spades. The antipasto plate delivered with anonymity and a crisp bubbles made us welcome and Juliet’s cooked breakfasts were worth waking for! We were guests at their restaurant on Saturday night. Food and a ripper little wine list didn’t disappoint. Goolwa and the Coorong are worth visiting and the Australasian in Goolwa a perfect companion!

Hello Andrew C,
A wonderful review of the Weekend Foodie package, like yours, is treasured by us all at The Australasian. We too appreciate the Coorong and the little river port town of Goolwa as its gateway. Thank you for coming to stay and celebrate this special piece of SA. Kind regards, Deb and the team here.

This was our second stay at this beautiful small hotel. We previously stayed in the Garden Room & this time we booked the Island Room. Both rooms are beautiful but this time we had the added bonus of a freestanding bath. The hotel itself is like a tranquil sanctuary, so lovely & cool & quiet. The modern design inside this heritage property fits so well & the Japanese artefacts are just beautiful. We particularly enjoyed drinks on the hotel balcony & dinner on Saturday night, beautifully presented & scrumptious! And as for the breakfast, silently delivered via a trolley to your door & again a feast for the eyes! What makes this hotel such a great choice is the hosts - so welcoming & attentive, whilst making you feel you have the place to yourself. This is THE place to stay in Goolwa.

Room Tip: All five rooms are spectacular!

Our room had great views, with a lovely freestanding bath, which we really enjoyed. The property is in a great location, close to Sunday Morning Wharf Markets, Cockle Train and all of the main street business, cafes, shops etc.

Room Tip: All bar one room are on the first floor, easy access via a very wide staircase. Had great views with beautiful linen etc.

Hello jdand013, Cheers for the lovely review. As you discovered there is quite a lot to do in Goolwa particularly near the Wharf precinct and it sure sounds like you were out and about enjoying yourselves when you weren't watching the hustle and bustle from your window or eating Juliet's food :) Take care
