On the basis of the incredible number of rave reviews on Trip Advisor, we decided to have lunch at this place. Hidden away in the Heritage markets, it is tiny and getting a table can be problematic. However, if you have to wait, do so, as I can assure you it will be well worth it. This place is a gem, a cut above the rest.
The first plus is the French owner of this patisserie. He interacts with the customers, giving great advice on what they should choose. Two of us had quiche and salad and the other two had salami, Camembert and salad on a homemade baguette. Both meals were delicious. The best, however, was yet to come. We ordered four different desserts and shared them. Profiteroles, apple tart, tart tartin and crime brûlée. The latter two were flamed by the owner at the table with a blow torch and without a doubt were two of the best desserts I have ever tasted.
At the conclusion of the meal, the owner put berets on our heads and joined us for photos.
This was not just a meal but an experience, and all at a very moderate price.

This place is not easy to find, doesn't open for long, and you may have to wait a while for your order. But you will not be disappointed!! And were it not for the delightful relaxing tropical surroundings, you might think you are in France. We have enjoyed perfect French bread, cheese souffles, eclairs, croque monsieur, coffee, and chocolate eclairs here, all baked or prepared on the premises and served with flair by the proprietor. Unbeatable.

This was an amazing place to eat and by far the best Kuranda. The menu was amazing and not only was the food flavourful but the head chef, and sole worker, was amazing to watch. He cooked with passion and that showed in the food. Overall, I would highly recommend this place to eat, it took our family to France and back.

Stands out head & shoulders from all the crappy tourist cafes. I had a very tasty croque monsieur with a chocolate eclair to go prepared & served by a lovely French man. I would definitely return if I was to find myself in Kuranda again. Well done

Enjoyed the most delicious camembert cheese roll. Thought I was back in France. The service was excellent and entertaining. Surrounded by beautiful palms and tropical gardens, French music in the background. Pastries looked Devine.
