Typical Wetherspoons. The service was fast using the app and the staff were pleasant.

Nothing special but you know what to expect from a Wetherspoons.

There is parking outside (free for up to one hour) but can be quite busy.

Today after work I met with my friends at spoons and we had been served by chealsea who was rather rude. She did not say hello when we approached the bar and didn’t look as if she wanted to be here, she then slammed my drink on the bar. When I went back to fix the order as she had gotten it wrong she walked of shaking her head. Personally I think she need more training on how to deal with customers.

Prebooked some months ago for a two-night break motorbiking trip, so £95 per single room for two nights was a good deal. Room a bit dated but spotless and sloping floor took a bit of getting used to (R11). Parking at the back a bit limited but managed to get 3 bikes in.
Staff very welcoming and on the ball. Bar was busy but service prompt. Prices great too (£1.99 a pint for some of the beers). Dined there both nights and breakfast too. excellent value and prompt and helpful service. All good !

OMG , ordered. Vegetarian five bean casserole with rice and tortilla crisps. ....... No crisps. Asked for them. Told by member of staff , Her mistake , I asked for an alternative , told by her it is only an accompaniment , I asked for refund or alternative I.e. Popadum or naan bread , she would have to ask manager !!! Eventually got popadom . Adjacent table took four members of staff to clear at different intervals .. Busy period but inefficient use of staff our table was messy , eventually it was cleaned , will only use Weatherspoons for veggie / vegan if no other option available

Hi Glynis T

I can only apologise that on the occasion you visited the pub we had no tortilla chips!
I hope that in retrospect you can appreciate that it wasn't quite the catastrophe that you felt it was when writing this review.
We have a great range of vegetarian dishes and a growing range of vegan meals to try out!

Fantastic beer garden at the rear that can be accessed without entering the pub. However this is another Spoons that does not allow dogs unlike some of the more sensible Spoons pubs. Its a pity we didnt get chance the sample the usually good food and drink but if they dont want our custom there are plenty who do

Hi Gazzer C

Sorry to disappoint, at the moment only certain pubs have dispensation to allow dogs on the premises. We are not one of those pubs.
The news gets no better I'm afraid, as of September 10th only guide and assistance dogs will be welcome in all 850+ JD Wetherspoon pubs.
