“Well-equipped, homely and generally excellent”

We were a group of 8 in two families (and a dog) visiting the locality for an activity holiday. On arrival, everything was provided and more. Equipment could be described as over the top but we managed to use it all. There is a lovely terrace for grills and sitting out. Sadly, we only managed to go to the pub once. Arrangements for sleeping were convenient and flexible.
Jane has covered every angle with a wonderful selection of books and information scattered around the cottage. I thoroughly recommend @an Uncommon Reader' by Alan Bennet that is in the bathroom!!!!
Location is excellent for all locations and Carsington Water and, of course, Chatsworth House are to be recommended.
We all felt well at home and would love to visit again.

“Lovely stay”

Very much enjoyed our time at the pickle cottage. Will book for longer next time so that we can explore the beautiful surroundings.

Location lovely easy to get to peak areas,lovely owner Jane and husband made stay great,will visit again and the cottage is ideal.
