We stayed here for two nights having booked a day at Alton towers for the family ( two adults my two sons 19 and 14 ) we travelled from Cornwall and arrived at about 8pm , we were warmly welcomed and asked if we would like anything hot from the kitchen which was lovely . The room was warm , clean comfortable with all you need for a comfortable stay , we booked cooked breakfasts at extra costs hot and ample with proper sausages and black pudding ( but well worth the money ) the continental was free and ridiculously generous more like a picnic ( fantastic ) which is all delivered to your door by the lovely staff . We did not eat at this venue but I did see the food that came out of the kitchen looked good . The real ale was great and my husband enjoyed the cider on tap . All in all this place was lovely , friendly warm and welcoming , you can see they are doing all they can with the covid battle . I wouldn’t hesitate to re book or recommend.

We’re just back from a lovely couple of nights at the D&P.
All of the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Including the reception, waiting and cleaning staff.
Room was clean & comfortable.
Steak & Ale pie dinner was splendid.
Would definitely stay again.

I don't think the hotel is all that it makes out to be,
when entering the hotel we was told the room we was staying didn't have a proper parking space, that we could just park in front of our friends car, (we had to do this) the parking space which was there was so close to another persons front door it wasn't possible to park there.
Secondly the room was very badly laid out, the toilet was so close to the bath you could barley sit down and use it,
When my partner (male) tried to use the toilet he had to hold the toilet seat as when he put it up it kept falling down and the toilet seat wasn't even lined up properly.
The bath panel was hanging off, the bin in the bathroom was rusted and broken,
We had to call and ask what the problem with the water being hot was, to be told it's running of a tank which takes around 45 mins to reheat up, we only managed to have one bath between us that we had to share as we had to rush out in the morning,
The breakfast didn't arrive on the time we booked for, and don't even get us started on the bed, the bed is extremely squeaky, if you even rolled over it made so much noise,
We could hear the people next door talking and there TV,

The breakfast wasn't all that great either.

All in all it's a quick fix after a busy day at Alton Towers,
But I definitely wouldn't stay there again,
The staff were friendly but they didn't even ask us how our stay was, nor was there anywhere to leave a review on how the stay was.

I would probably avoid for the price.

We stayed at this hotel for a trip to Alton Towers and stayed for 2 nights, 1 adult, 2 children. The rooms are great for children, bunk beds and a double bed. Bathroom was lovely and clean with nice bath and powerful shower. The garden is absolutely fantastic, great playground for kids and lots of seating around for parents to sit with a drink and watch them. Terrace for food was pretty and service impecible. Naturally you can’t eat and drink inside at the moment due to COVID but we were lucky with fab weather and eating outside with nice. Food was good, children especially liked the dessert play yet for children. The staff were SO friendly. Will definitely book again when visiting Alton towers. 13 minute drive to Alton Towers! :)
