We stayed at this hotel for a trip to Alton Towers and stayed for 2 nights, 1 adult, 2 children. The rooms are great for children, bunk beds and a double bed. Bathroom was lovely and clean with nice bath and powerful shower. The garden is absolutely fantastic, great playground for kids and lots of seating around for parents to sit with a drink and watch them. Terrace for food was pretty and service impecible. Naturally you can’t eat and drink inside at the moment due to COVID but we were lucky with fab weather and eating outside with nice. Food was good, children especially liked the dessert play yet for children. The staff were SO friendly. Will definitely book again when visiting Alton towers. 13 minute drive to Alton Towers! :)

We stayed on the first night of lockdown easing on 12th April. Lovely little self contained block with bunk beds, tv, comfy double and lovely bathroom. Plenty of hot water and rooms were heated well.
We arrived late in the day and the staff were rushed off there feet but still provided great service.
Food wise we could eat outside or in our room. We chose to have room service which is a reduced menu but the food was genuinely outstanding, and after a long day paying Alton towers prices it was great food at a good price.
Continental breakfast delivered by basket the following morning was a lovely little spread, and also for £5 extra I got a full English delivered.

All in all lovely place, lovely grounds and perfect for what we needed, all covid precautions in place, couldn’t be happier

I had the worst nights sleep here. Ineffective heater for a room within an outdoor cabin. Still awake at 1am due to the extreme cold (face felt like that when camping) that I called for someone to fix the problem. We were shattered from Alton Towers that really we should have been zonked out. Another electric heater and blanket given. Didn't help that the bedding was also stained (see picture). Was met with a very defensive, argumentative response from the man who worked front of house when I pointed the issue out in the morning.

Thankyou for taking the time to review. However we feel you are being extremely unfair.

You arrived the night after your original booking date and we did not have any other rooms available apart from a double room that was not occupied. We offered you this and you declined as your tickets for Alton towers were not valid for the following day so you were going to go home. However one of our staff team managed to assist you in getting them changed to the correct date free of charge . You then advised us you would then take the room. As it was now quite late the rooms heating was switched on immediately however it does take a little time to warm up. As the room was not going to be occupied we don’t leave heating on unnecessary.

We do have extra heating etc available if required and this was provided as soon as requested.

We went out of our way to assist you and make you and your family as comfortable as possible. With hindsight we should have let you keep to your original decision of going home.
