“Delightful cosy cottage for two”
Reviewed 22 April 2014 for a stay in April 2014

Although it is a little disappointing that this cute little cottage isn't in middle of the countryside, once you turn into the drive you are charmed by its character and the care taken in making the most of the property. As long as you don't require large rooms this cosy former Cowshed really is the perfect place for two people to have a quiet, relaxing and romantic break. The owners were very friendly on arrival and respected our privacy for the remainder of our stay. Everything we needed was provided in the cottage and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. As we have family in the area we would definitely stay in the Cowshed again.

“Cosy accommodation in the town of Glossop”
Reviewed 12 April 2014 for a stay in March 2014

The Cowshed sounds like its in the country and no doubt used to be many years ago. Now its in the town but only two minute walk to the country.
It is small but we found it adequate for our needs and enjoyed our stay.
The hosts were great and the goodies left were very much appreciated.
We had a great Thai meal at the local pub only a few minutes level walk.
The walk to the shops is easy is easy harder on the way back up the hill. No problem really.

“A stunning countryside retreat...a hidden gem”
Reviewed 13 January 2014 for a stay in July 2012

We were lucky enough to stay in this gorgeous cottage on our wedding night! 'Our honeymoon haven' The pictures don't quite do it justice and the owners Wendy and Andrew could not do enough for us! The quaint cottage is tucked away in a perfect little spot where you can enjoy the natural beauty this area has to offer and yet be in walking distance of local shops and restaurants (not to mention the fantastic country pub just minutes away). The cottage is finished to a high standard, modern yet full of character. This is a perfect place to stay if your looking for a peaceful rural retreat in the country. Imagine this...walking in the countryside on a beautiful fresh day, through farms, fields, moors and quiet country lanes followed by a refreshing beer and some home cooked food in a local country pub and then a 5 minute walk back to a cosy, warm and inviting cottage with a log burning fire and relaxing surroundings to unwind in!..idyllic!
