Situated in the lovely village of Uldale not far from Keswick and Cockermouth this was a fabulous cottage for a family holiday. Dog friendly and with a café 2 doors away and a great pub not far away

“Home from home”
Reviewed 10 July 2017 for a stay in July 2017

I went with my children, their friends and the dog to Emerald Bank and had a wonderful time. It felt cosy and comfortable with loads of space. We had everything we needed and I would love to revisit. It's in a peaceful little village. Uldale is charming-rural England with the sheep and cows and a neighbour selling sweetpeas and delphiniums. I loved it! Kay was really nice to deal with and took time to answer my questions beforehand. I appreciated the information pack that was there even suggesting walks with pubs at the end of them and other places to visit. Brilliant!

“Lovely, well equipped cosy cottage in a beautiful area of the Lakes”
Reviewed 21 October 2016 for a stay in October 2016

We had a fantastic time at Emerald Bank Cottage with our three teenagers and my parents. We lit the fire, watched the cows go by and drank lots of wine.

Two of our group are coeliac and it was brilliant to discover the local pub the Snooty Fox offering good quality, gluten-free food, as well as Mae's tearoom, which is a stone's throw from the cottage.

As well as all the fab walking with our dogs around Bassenthwaite Lake we played tennis at a full size court close to the cottage.

We would love to return for a longer stay.
