Stopped off here for a lot of tea and a sandwich halfway through a days walk over Wansfell.
Lovely little place, quality food, friendly and helpful staff. Seems it is a social enterprise as well. Highly recommended

What a find - a lovely tea/coffee shop with a range of light bites too. Perfect place to arrive if you have walked over from Ambleside or up from Windermere. On a sunny day, sit outside and enjoy the wonderful views and the chat with other visitors.
Staff are so nice, happy to chat and provide any information needed. Do not miss it if your travels take you to Troutbeck, you will not be disappointed.

This was the old post office in the village and makes an unusual and most interesting venue to stop off for a snack/ drink before starting your walk or at the end.....we did both! Very friendly staff and knowledgeable about the area. Definitely worth a visit.
