“Perfect, cosy cottage for family break”
Reviewed 8 April 2018 for a stay in March 2018

We had a great stay at Swan View, the location was perfect for visiting family and exploring the surrounding countryside. The cottage had everything that we needed for five nights away plus a few extras. We enjoyed cooking in the fully equipped kitchen and enjoyed returning to the warmth of the cottage every night. We all slept well in the comfortable beds and the children really loved the bunk beds. The train that passed by the end of the garden was amazing and many a railway children moment was had! Tony was a great host, accommodating our very late check in and even leaving sweets for the children. We look forward to a return visit soon.

“Most wonderful house in the gateway to the Lake District”
Reviewed 28 March 2018 for a stay in March 2018

We had the most fabulous holiday at Swan View. The house was clean and compact. The children loved the outside space and the fact that a steam train runs passed during the day. Swan View had everything we needed as a family of four and all the exciting activities of the South Lakes are on the door step. Tony, the owner, could not have done more for us in the run up to the holiday and whilst we were there. And it was a real bonus to have lots of cereals and drinks included to save us having to take them with us. We can’t wait to go back

“Stay at Swan View Newby Bridge”
Reviewed 27 October 2017 for a stay in October 2017

A wonderful character cottage that made our stay all the more enjoyable. Very warm and cosy with lovely lake district surroundings. The little things that Tony thought of and provided in the cottage made it a great stay whether you wanted to cook and eat at The cottage or go to one of the local pubs that Tony provided details for. The steam railway at the bottom of the garden provided additional enjoyment for us all and we all felt like the railway children. A great location with access to so many places to see. We will definitely want to return and hopefully bring some friends. Thank you Tony we all have some great memories staying at the cottage and didn't want to leave.

Thank you for your review and delighted you enjoyed the break!
Not many cottages can offer a steam railway at the bottom of the garden.
Hope to see you again soon.
