WHat a lovely spot. If you are a fan of the western lakes, especially crummock water, this is a great place to base yourself. The owners are relaxed and friendly. OUr romm had a single and a double bed - v comfy and perfect for a mum+2 kids. Good en-suite shower room and lovely cooked to order breakfast. A plus for us were the lovely beef cattle on the farm (for cow mad youngest son!). It is a v pleasant short stroll down the hill through the fields to the village of Lorton and its pub. We would definately stop here again on a similar short break to the lakes.

We stayed at Terrace Farm for 3 nights over the Easter weekend. The farm is in a great location surrounded by hills and very scenic. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast fantastic which really set us up well for a day of walking. Catherine was great and very welcoming. A MUST stay if you plan to visit the Western Lakes.

Stayed at Terrace Farm for one night whilst in the Lakes for a friend's wedding. Start of the lambing season and some of the coldest weather of the winter but still the welcome we got was warm and friendly. We were given a heads up warning about the weather by Katherine who thoughtfully called to warn us about the weather conditions.
The room was very comfortable and the breakfast was substantial.
If you are visiting this area of the Lakes look no further than Terrace Farm

A Great stay with Katherine and family in Lorton. Room a great size with fantastic views across the valley. Very friendly and a great breakfast to start the day. The location is fantastic, surrounded by hills and very quiet.

There were four of us coming down for a friends wedding. Myself and my friend stayed in one room and my other friend and her boyfriend stayed in the second room. Catherine was very welcoming (as was Kim the dog). The rooms were a fantastic size and the room i was in had fantastic views. We were staying in April so there were lots of cute lambs about the farm (i even got to hold one). The hosts couldnt have been friendlier and were extremely helpful. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfy. The breakfast the next morning was amazing, the eggs were from hens on the farm, i've not seen yolks that yellow before! Everything was great and the price was good. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a B&B in Lorton.

Room Tip: Both rooms are fantastic. The room with the double bed and the single bed next to each other does have an amazing view though
