Popped in for a drink on a cold day, we'd often driven past.
Pleasantly surprised, warm fire, warm welcome, open fire, good beer and excellent toilets - very posh!

Had a lovely meal on Saturday night opted for steak and it was cooked to perfection. I'm not usually a pudding person but Hannah persuaded me to try one and I have to say it was delicious. Went for her homemade spiced pumpkin latte cheesecake.....yummy!! Would definitely recommend this quaint friendly pub xx

After a spectacular slog of a drive right up the spine of England we were relieved to reach this gem of a pub in a fairly remote location. We had booked a table to eat in the evening and we both enjoyed an excellent meal at very reasonable prices. The Timothy Taylor Landlord bitter was tip-top as well. We would love to return and stay for a few nights to tour Teesdale and the Upper Tyne valley, for which the Miner's Arms is ideally situated.

Another great place to stay on our UK trip. Our room looked recently renovated, and the bathroom floor has in floor heating. What a treat after a shower. Breakfast was excellent, as were the dinners. The pub was a hoot, with both visitors and locals frequenting it. Nenthead is off the beaten path but definitely worth the drive. The scenery alone is worth the trip, and a delightful B&B at the days end was perfect.

Stayed here as a 2nd night stop over, whilst in the middle of a C2C cycle challenge. Great accommodation and very clean/tidy. The food in the restaurant is spot on ! We stayed on a Friday where they have a Steak Night special......and it is !!! Then there are the homemade puddings. An absolute delight. Compliments to the chef !!
Also need to mention if you are cycling - Dave Raeside at North Pennine Cycles - next door is an absolute star !!!
