Alderley Edge Hotel
Ranked #1 of 2 Hotels in Alderley Edge
Reviewed 20 April 2012

We recently had occasion to stay at Alderley Edge for the night, and very happy to have done so.
From the minute we set foot through the door to the minute we left everything was excellent.
The room was immaculate. The toiletries in the rooms as you would expect from a quaily hotel. The towels were nice and big and very fluffy - as were the robes.
The room was spacious and unlike the previous comments I found the tv to be large enough and walls thick enough - it is a hotel so you do get a little noise of room doors closing.
The bed was so comfortable and pillows big and plump. Lovely white quality cotton bedding and duvet ont he bed (not blankets as per previous review)
Reception were very friendly and helpful.
Restaurant staff were friendly and chatty without being overbearing.
Plenty of parking space and well lit at night

The food - Superb. You have to eat here!! Well deserving of its awards.
Breakfast was lovely - have the crepes!!

It's only a very short walk into the 'village' but beware it's a hill on the way back :0)
There is a lovely garden that would be great to sit out in in warmer weather - gardens look well kept and planted

I wouldn't hesitate to return here to stay but will most definatley have to return to eat Mr Hollands (and his brigade of chefs) food.

Stayed here recently fora business trip. Could barely swing a cat in the room that I had. Furnishings were old and the TV was tiny. The walls are paper thin so could hear my neighbor's shower, alarm, phone conversations and even text message alerts. The restauarant is decent with a good breakfast. I wouldn't recommend this place based on the price they charge.

Room Tip: Make sure the room doesn't have an adjoining door to the next room.

Our best friend held her wedding here and it was fantastic. Beautiful building and decor, excellent service and quality food. Everybody who stayed over had a great night's sleep and the rooms were stunning. Would visit again. Very classy.

We had 3 rooms booked for a Saturday night with a table also booked in the restaurant. It was Mum's 60th so we had booked on the "Definitive Bed & Breakfast" deal advertised on their website. The 7 course tasting menu was really good with some lovely wines to accompany each course. The meal was spread over 3 and a half hours- lovely and leisurely. Staff were attentive. Our rooms were all together (15, 16 &17) and even though a wedding was in full swing in the function room we heard nothing of it which was brilliant. Our rooms were all quite compact (OK, small!) but well equipped and very nicely furnished. No tea making facilities. One of our bathrooms had low water pressure so reception gave us another room to use the bathroom in the morning for our showers. We walked into the town in no more than 5 minutes so location is great. Breakfast was good in the morning with a prompt service. We would stay here again. It was lovely!

Although this restaurant is expensive, the food is delicious and the staff are very attentive and professional. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
