I have been in two of the Nonpareils' stores here in Piedras Negras at least twice in the past 2 months.
First impression is you get into a very cozy and enjoyable place to have a sandwich, iced tea, a coffee and dessert.
The quality of the offer there is remarkably good for the city's standards, can compete at levels of San Antonio, Austin or Monterrey.
To this pont, all is good. The problem is the staff: kind of stuck-up and at the downtown's store, the guy who seems to be the manager is very rude. It's OK if they don't have something on the menu available but I think a "Sorry, we don't have this today but I can offer you this" is way better than "We don't serve it today, come back another day".
The other store, near the Home Depot, is attended by a group of very young and inexperienced girls that don't understand what attention to customers is.
If you can stand for rude treatment, go there, If you like me think that good quality food has always to be complemented with a courteous and attentive service to have a them as a no-brainer choice, the place doesn't worth the visit.
