I have eaten at this restaurant several times over the years when going across the border to
Piedras Nagras at Eagle Pass. The restaurant is conveniently located in the Mercado in one corners. Wait staff is all friendly and food comes out fast and hot. Chips are hmoemade, and the salsa is very good. I had Enchilada Mexicanas with rice and beans, tortillas, a cerveza, chips and salsa for $85 pesos (about $6 USD). It was a plateful of food that I was unable to finish. I was going to rate this 'very good', but after writing this, for the 'good' quality at only $6...c'mon, it's excellent!

I walk across the bridge off of West Garrison in Eagle Pass (the City has a public lot right at the border checkpoint). After crossing over, you will notice a Catholic Church across from the town square that the bridge empties on to. Turn left at this church and walk down Zaragoza Street about two blocks. The Mercado will be on your left, plenty of touristy stores, this restaurant, etc. I usually go over to Christmas shop for the kids once per year while hunting close by in Texas, and have always felt safe.

This has to be one of the oldest restaurants in Piedras Negras maybe even the oldest. This restaurant is located in the central market. It's really easy to find. If this was a decade ago I would have easily given this place all 5 circles. Great food, very attentive service, and great prices. A decade later it has only retained the last one. The food is still good,,,just not great. Except for the pancakes. Those are still out of this world. I have no idea how they make them. The pancakes just soak up all the syrup just right. What seems to have declined the most is the service. I remember when the waiters were super attentive. One look or a raise of the hand and they were there in a second. Today its a different scene when it comes to the service. You can see the waiters cutting corners. I can still recommend this restaurant. The food is still good and for the price is right. Definitely worth a visit.
