I have been traveling to Obregon for 9 years and finally found my breakfast spot about 2 months ago. When I dine out, I am always looking for a place with a reasonably good menu selection, not huge but well-thought out, food that is properly prepared every time, and an experienced and efficient staff. I found this at Las Carretas, a small but thoughtful restaurant only a couple of blocks from Miguel Aleman with good parking and an atmosphere that calls to me to return. There is the flashy restaurant on the north side of town where you can be forgotten for longer than is comfortable and there are the many hotel restaurants, some of which are quite good and others that are restaurants in name only, but I search no longer. This is a Mexican restaurant but real "Mexican", not the mash-up that we have in the states that is called "Mexican". Americans will find the menu quite agreeable.
