Good accommodations at Tepozteco HOTEL. There are various types of rooms from backpackers to couples in a reasonable price. Very good kept and clean

El Moro is a Morrish style resort hotel in lovely La Paz, Baja Sur, Mexico, that treats the eye with beautiful design and lush tropical surroundings. Located on the Malecon of the beautiful Bay of La Paz, one may acquire a private and lovely suite with one or two bedrooms, each with an all-purpose kitchen/living room and private balcony overlooking glorious gardens, artistic fountains and pools, all safely secure within the white walls of this beautiful facility. Most of the staff speak English and are comfortably friendly and helpful. It is luxurious living at very reasonalble cost. We have stayed twice and will return. It feels like "home", as I said to our Host as we reluctanly departed in April. It is a small facility, as resort hotels go, and that, I believe, is its charm. There are no planned "events" and you find it all quiet and comfortable. It is just like having your own home in Baja Sur, Mexico for a couple of weeks or more. It is walking distance along the beautiful Malecon to the shops near the center of town and you can be certain you will at times see the fishermen bringing in their Pangas, lovers strolling seaside, and beautiful children in their school uniforms enjoying their lunch time or an evening concert or event at the seaside bandshell. This, the Capital city of Baja, is quiet, elegant and proud. We love it there!

My wife and I traveled to La Paz for several days in July. It was very very hot! Club El Moro is clean, cool, and relaxing. The hotel is a quasi-moroccan themed place and is run by some very nice people. The junior suite that we rented was very spacious, the pool was clean and cool, and the service was excellent. I would definately stay here again. NOT A FANCY RESORT, but a nice inexpensive hotel.

We stayed at the El Moro for over a week recently. The hotel is across the main road from the waterfront. There are no hotels on the northeast end of town right on the water. The standard rooms are very spacious. The hotel is not large and room rates are from $60 U.S. per night to $90 depending on the type of room. There are simple hotel rooms up to two bedroom suites with kitchens. The hotel will give a discount if you are booking multiple nights. Juan Carlos is the name of the daytime desk clerk and he speaks excellent English. There is a restaurant at the hotel and an al fresco bar which operates during the afternoon. Their website is ... and includes pictures of the pool and surrounding grounds. The only drawback to this hotel is the distance to downtown. Most restaurants and attractions in La Paz are close to the centre of town. It is approximately a 30 minute walk along the Malecon from the El Moro to downtown. There is no bus service and taxis usually charge around 30 pesos for the trip.
