When you leave the road behind and step into the Grove it's like stepping into another world. The sun streaming in through the tall trees is truly magical in all seasons. The paths lead through woods, clearing, and beside the river. There is a lovely view across the river in several places. The mix of trees and shrubs provide a beautiful surrounding, especially in autumn. It is possible to walk for as short a time as 5 minutes, or as long as a hour or so. And, although you feel like you're miles away from civilization, you're never far from an entrance. Whether you want a quite place to reflect, a pleasant stroll, or a bit of exercise the Grove is a super place to go. Bug repellent is advised in the summer.

Beautiful scenery! Trails are well marked and maintained. The best little secret in Arnprior. A must for nature lovers! Just watch out for unmarked drop offs by the waterfront.

For anyone who is a nature lover the Grove is a must visit. Being home to the largest white pine in North America is reason enough to visit. The grove welcomes all including dogs (must be leashed) You can spend hours enjoying the last untouched piece of Ottawa Valley pine forest. Don't miss all the trails and the spectacular vegetation and open all year round with no charge.

In the centre of the town of Arnprior, Ontario lies a treasure of white pine trees.
These trees are the homes of many bird species including owls, Hawks and wood
ducks.
The trails are intertwined throughout the woods and sightings of deer, raccoons,
Salamanders, foxes along with the usual squirrels, chipmunks.
There are memorial benches along the trail for members of the Friends of the Grove
Volunteer group who gave of their time and energy to support this site.
The Gillies Grove House is not accessible to visitors and as No Trespassing signs to
ward off visitors to the private grounds.
Enjoy this beautiful natural resource in the centre of a beautiful Valley Town.
