It's a small local eatery and nothing fancy but the food is good and the service is friendly. They do things like oatmeal and toast as an alternative to the normal huge sugar laden or salt laden fare you normally encounter.

Great breakfast but I wanted to walk up to everyone ordering and tell them they could have bacon or ham or sausage at home with their eggs and toast-you're in Nova Scotia! Eat fish for breakfast! Her fish cakes were as good as my mom used to make. I've had breakfast everyday there the past week, best tea, best coffee, lots of baked goods. Friendliest staff ever!

went for breakfast but they had just made some fresh tomato and red pepper soup which we decided on followed by the three meat sandwich and a western, excellent soup and sandwiches so we thought we would try the apple strudels yum yum.

Good food, good prices, good service. They were busy, it was a Saturday morning, so the food was a little slower coming out. The only recommendation I would make is to put little tent cards on the tables or a sign near the door when you come in that says "please seat yourself and place order at the counter" to tell people who are not locals that there is no table service. We sat there for a few minutes before someone told us. Which made us feel stupid. So we paid it forward and did the same when we noticed another couple come in and do the same thing. The sign above the counter is not enough to let people know if they have never been there before.

Was traveling back home when I stopped at this place for breakfast. Ice and cosy. You go to the counter to order food and he serves u at the table. It's self serve for coffee. The food was very good and I would recommend this place for sure. If you are traveling that way make sure to stop in for a healthy breakfast.
