Was traveling back home when I stopped at this place for breakfast. Ice and cosy. You go to the counter to order food and he serves u at the table. It's self serve for coffee. The food was very good and I would recommend this place for sure. If you are traveling that way make sure to stop in for a healthy breakfast.

We enjoyed a late breakfast... things were quite busy which might explain a long wait for our meals. You kinda have to figure out the system... order at the cash register, food is brought to you when ready. Lots of kids working here and they are great! I think they were just overwhelmed in the kitchen. My classic breakfast was good; DW's Eggs Benedict was a bit over-cooked. Bakery stuff looked inviting, but we were replete. Not exactly fine dining, but worth a visit...

Not a lot of spots to get beakfast along here so as expected a good business on Sunday a.m.Food really good, could probably use two people working here instead of one young girl taking orders ,serving etc.If you are by here any time of day stop in for coffee and a sweet.

Sandeannie's Bakery and Tea Room on Route 19 at Shore Road is beloved by the locals and tourists for its breakfast and lunch menus. This summer Red Seal certified Chef Bernadine ("Deannie") Rankin and her husband Sandy have raised the bar by adding a chef's choice three course dinner on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings from 5-8 pm. I had the district pleasure of savouring the inaugural offering, which consisted of a starter of Citrus Salad, a main course of Basil Lemon Pepper Haddock served with julienned vegetables on a bed of Couscous and one of Chef Deannie's melt-in-your-mouth biscuits. The gourmet meal was completed with delightful Lemon Fluff for dessert. Each lovingly prepared dish was truly exceptional! At the amazing price of $16-22 plus tax and tip, this is an opportunity no gourmand in Cape Breton should miss!

There aren't many places to eat on the stretch of Highway 19 on the Cape Breton coast between Mabou and the Canso bridge. It isn't exactly gourmet -- Sandeannie's provides a typical breakfast at an average cost -- but considering how far you need to drive if you don't stop here I thought people should know it is a good breakfast. We didn't try any of the bakery items.
