We stayed for 5 nights at this delightful inn to tour Nova Scotia and visit friends.

The inn is cosy, clean and welcoming with extremely comfortable beds. The owner Suzy was extremely kind and our breakfasts were a 'tour de force'. We got up every morning eagerly awaiting the day's super surprise that was breakfast. From quesadillas (sp?) to banana pancakes it was always accompanied by luscious seasonal fruits and home made jams.

If you you are looking for a lovely spot to get the flavour of Nova Scotia and a very friendly and helpful host who is Cordon Blue trained then you should stay at the Mecklenburg Inn in Chester.

Nancy, thank you for taking the time to write a review of the Mecklenburgh. I am so pleased you chose the Inn to use as a base from which to explore the surrounding areas. I really enjoyed sharing travel anecdotes and laughs over the breakfast table and look forward to seeing you both again.Suzi

Delightful room, wonderful innkeeper--don't miss the balcony hammock!

All the amenities one could wish for, within short stroll of village and water, and a 5-star breakfast in the morning. Parking, wi fi, sitting room.

Ann, I'm so glad you came to Chester in September as it is truly lovely here that time of year. I am open until New Year's just in case you want to come back and sit in front of the fire. Thank you for coming and for posting such a nice review. Hope to see you again. Suzi

Stayed at this spacious, airy and beautifully kept B & B for 5 nights....best breakfasts ever, cooked by Susie the chef, comfortable beds, spotlessly clean and on the hill in beautiful Chester, Nova Scotia. Would highly recommend.

Room Tip: all good rooms

This was our 3rd annual trip to Chester and the Mecklenburgh Inn and it was great, as always! We stayed three nights and the afternoon we arrived felt like coming home. That's because the proprietor, Suzi makes you feel like an old friend. The breakfasts were deliicious and generous and the atmosphere casual and fun. We'll definitely be back, hopefully for a longer stay.

I was travelling with a friend and we found everything about the inn pleasant, the ambiance and style, the atmosphere, the food, the host and the extremely comfortable beds. The common rooms were comfortable and the outdoor balconies a lovely place to sit and plan our walkabout tour of the village of Chester. I was particularly taken with the sunny laundry room which was upstairs with the door open. There was good equipment and piles of fluffy towels and ironed white sheets.

Room Tip: All the rooms I saw looked lovely. I would have been happy to stay in any of them.
