We loved this inn. Brenda was warm and inviting. We had hot coffee and a selection of breads, croissants and out of the oven scones or muffins, fresh fruit, yoghurt cereals etc. There are 6 rooms with several bathrooms. Our Room was very comfortable and so quiet. There is great whale watching from one of the wharfs which was a stones throw away at seals watch yours. Lots of whale sightings. They guarantee it or you don't pay. You are on the water for 4 hours so dress for warm and very cold in the same trip! Bring a blanket! We ordered take out cooked lobsters from Fundy House (glad we didn't eat there!) which were picked from their tanks at $10/pound and super delicious! We had a chilled bottle of wine and dined on the deck of the inn with a gorgeous sunset. The beach is less than a 5 minute walk so we finished off with a walk along the floor of the ocean with the tide out and watched the fog roll in with darkness. What a great experience. We also did a sunset take out dinner at Whistle point and woke up at 530 am to do the sunrise at southwest head (7 min drive from the inn). If I did it again I would do sunrise at whistle road in the north head and sunset at south head. We also took in the Castalia marsh for a collection of scallop shells. The farmers market was fun and I bought a beautiful maple cutting board and some nice pottery pieces. The people of grand manan are really friendly and helpful. A great couple of days. Thanks Brenda for your wonderful hospitality. I would recommend the inn to others. Note there is no restaurant or convenience store in the inn. I added some pics too.
