The place is decent. However there's poor management and neglect of the site. The bathrooms and toilets were extemely dirty. We got there on Tuesday left on Sunday and the toilets were never cleaned.it was pretty disgusting. I think this place is best suited for RVS.
If you are thinking of building a fire you best bring your own firewood. They do sell firewood but for an arm and leg. By they way the place is loud in the early morning hours from planes. There is a port nearby.
Other than that it's good for families with kids lots of room for them to play.

Hi, Janet.
We just want to let you know there is new management since late fall 2016 - we've addressed most of those issues. Everything is very clean, there's plenty of dry firewood. We hope you will come back and give us another try in 2017. As for planes, Porpoise Bay is a working harbour with two floatplane terminals and the planes are a part of life and camping in this end of the Inlet, whether guests come to Bayside or are at the popular provincial park down the road. But you're right - if you want a quieter camping location you'll need to go further up the Coast. We think Porpoise Bay is pretty awesome - the waters are protected from heavy winds, there's plenty of scenery and nearby trails, and we're close to town without being in it. Thank you for leaving a review, as new managers we are dedicated to ensuring all of our guests have a great holiday at Bayside Campground.

Very nice camping spots, big trees and well groomed. Washrooms in dier need of maintenance and cleaning. Nice stay otherwise. Would stay there again upon inspection of the washroom facilities first before getting set up.

We actually tried to go to another place about an hour away that was so bad that we back tracked and came here instead. We stayed at this place for a couple of nights in a trailer back in 2009 and knew it was not too bad at the time. We arrived quite late at 7pm and the office was already closed. We picked a spot in the dark and assumed we can settle up in the morning. The owner or grounds person who lives on site, came hurrying over in his car to collect our money. Fair enough,

The park is large sized with many spots, all separated by small amount of trees to give you some privacy. There is a general bathroom that was not exceptionally clean. The showers are coin operated. Our pad had small amount of random garbage, as did the rest of the camp ground. Nothing too major but not quite what I expected to see. I ran in to two other full timers living there for long durations and they were very nice people with immaculate rigs.

I was informed by the other campers that Bayside used to be owned by the same owner as Creekside but sold in Dec 2015. I was also informed by the same campers that Creekside is quite run down but I did not verify this.

There was a volleyball court and a children's play ground. Some of the sites are closer to the road and the traffic noise is evident. Unfortunately, even though it is only a small two lane road, people drive quite fast on it, thus the traffic noise can be heard quite easily by the pads that are closer to the road. There are several double pad that are good for group campers.

Well this place ticks all the boxes.
A beautiful setting, clean and well run and the friendliest staff ever.
I would definitely recommend this campground.
The Sunshine Coast and Sechelt is a beautiful untouched area of BC.

Best value, fire pits, clean washrooms, helpful management, great location.

Stayed here as part of a biking vacation to Coast Gravity. This camp ground is just beside the road that takes you to the park. They even have bike washing stations!

Recommended to friends, family or customers of mine for sure.
