Description: The Renfrew Pub is the homey gathering place for locals and visitors at the heart of Snuggery Cove. Friendly and inviting, it’s the sort of place even first-timers swear they’ve been before. The waterfront pub and restaurant occupies an enviable spot, right next to the dock. Our craft brews include crisp, cold favourites from right around here: Vancouver Island Brewery High Trail Honey Ale, Lighthouse Race Rocks, Saltspring Island Golden Ale, Phillips Blue Buck, Granville Island Raspberry Ale. And we’re just getting started. Our food is all about quality with a fresh, homespun focus. Chickens are roasted daily on site; sauces and gravies are built from scratch. The baked goods are handcrafted, fries hand-cut, and herbs pulled fresh. Choose from sumptuous burgers or boat-to-table seafood drawn from nearby waters. The Pub serves breakfast (weekends), lunch and dinner, along with elevated pub fare — wings for the game and gooey poutine. Snuggle up or wake up with a steaming mug of Discovery Coffee from Victoria’s beloved roastery, and let the day unspool.

The place to go after finishing the West Coast Trail or driving the Wet Coast Highway. Nice selection of craft beer and a decent menu. Seafood Chowder is a signature dish and Wife said the Prawn Tacos were “the best that she had ever had”. Nice decor, high ceilings, pool table, on the waterfront, pleasant staff. What more could you ask for in a pub?

Popped in here for lunch after doing a couple of hikes, very looking forward to a beer and lunch. Atmosphere is alright. We were sat quickly and the gal took our order (food and bev) and then proceeded to wander around; it wasn't busy. After about 10 minutes I went to the bar and asked her for our drinks and she'd forgotten all about us. Meh...people make mistakes, no biggie. Beer was VERY good.

Food arrived in decent time. I had a salmon burger and fries and hubby had fish & chips. The salmon burger was described in the menu as having pickled ginger and wasabi but if it was there it was miniscule. Just tasted like a run-of-the-mill salmon burger. Which is fine but nothing special. Husband liked his fish & chips. Fries were very good on both!

We only ate here once during our 4 day trip because honestly, it's just way too expensive for what it was. We understand that getting supplies up to this part of the island is troublesome and can be costly and the prices do reflect that. But we're not made out of money so just the one visit for us.

The title says it all. They have good food with gluten free options. Really good beer, and a good selection as well. The views from the patio is what takes the cake though. They are amazing. You are right on the ocean, with views of the mountains and fishing boats going in and out.
