Just had a fortnights holiday at the Hotel Atol. What a fantastic time we've had.
During the 16 years that we have visited Sunny Beach, we have had our fair share of staying in so called 4* hotels.
This Hotel is only accredited with 3*, but....what it lacks in finesse it more than makes up for with the cleanliness of the rooms, bedding and bathrooms.
The food is brilliant, and the staff are amazing!! We have never met people as friendly, in all of our visits. This includes all the staff, from the cleaners right up to the senior management.
An enormous thank you to each and everyone of them, but extra special thanks to Chris, the restaurant manager who has gone out of his way to liaison with the Bulgarian owners to ensure that we are already booked in for our holidays next year. Chris your a star!!
Please think twice before passing this hotel by, we can assure you you WON'T be disappointed.

Had a meal here with my wife and child and the food was disgusting, and tasteless , they need a chef because whoever cooks it clearly isn't one , very disappointing . The old guy who tries to get people off the street to eat in there was no where to be seen when we complained about the 3 meals we had

where do I start, well lets try the 3 stars...... how they managed to persuade someone its a 3 star hotel I have no idea..... more like one star. I stayed in room 108, as you can see from pictures one side has a view of rubbish strewn roofs, the other window overlooks a supermarket loading bay...... a 24hr supermarket that is!!!!
the room was dirty when we arrived, the shower tray was broken and quite small god help you if your a fatty and wanna wash.
towels and sheets were only changed once during the 7 days stay, and god help you if you need a loo roll, strict rationing on that score, so best not be getting the trot during stay.
says on the description room has a mini bar....... nope .... its just a fridge and no alcohol allowed in room, and the chap called chris who claims to be in his words...."the big boss" actually looks at what you take into the hotel...... and he isn't the boss at all, just a glorified door man and obnoxious too.
as for the food, as I put in a e-mail to elka the co owner, its pig swill in fact the rspca might be on your doorstep if you did feed them.
I booked half board and for this they take the piss with the food, English breakfast as its called consisted everyday of cold toast, over cooked fried eggs, a desert spoon of cold beans, about half a fried mushroom (again cold) something that purported to be a slice bacon, and a frankfurter. yet if you walked in off the street you would get a proper English breakfast. hows that for ripping off the guests!!!! I refused to eat the swill they dished up for dinner. so do not under any circumstance do half board.
and when you complain they don't give a toss.
the balcony was only as wide as a chair and one end was taken up by the air con unit.
non of the staff seemed happy in there work either.
they proclaim to have wifi but it only works in the lobby
I would under no circumstances stay at this hotel ever again and you would do well to avoid it.

Room Tip: avoid it altogether

A comfortable clean room, with a very good choice of breakfast. Located near enough to the beach and at the start of the main thoroughfare to it. An easy going and relaxed place to stay, near enough to everything in Sunny Beach
