had read several reviews of this hotel before booking so wasn't surprised about the facilities and the food. we only booked for bed and breakfast. not a lot of choice and cooked items were disgusting looking. cant comment on dinners as didn't see them and had no interaction with other holiday makers to hear their views. most of the time didn't even get a reply to "Goodmorning"! girls on reception were friendly but not helpful when we needed information. room was basic and moderately clean though carpet under beds had not been hoovered in a while. bed linen and towels were clean but worn. no mattress protectors! you only get clean towels every three days though no-one told us and there were no notices in room. maid was very grumpy when I asked for clean ones because I had used ours that morning to dry off the handbasin and clean the mirror as they had not been touched in 4days. our room had no tea/coffee making facilities which was annoying. the only positives about our stay at this hotel were its location and the view from our balcony over the pool and the beach, although it was noisy up to about 2am as we overlooked several bars. sunny beach as an area is not somewhere I would go back to.

Hotel right on beach, opposite 'Amigos' bar that do live acts, Michael Jackson, Lady Ga Ga , Tina Turner etc. You have to share the Sunbeds with the next door hotel so you can only use the ones to the right of the pool. Rooms are VERY basic, no kettle eg. Dimitris in the lobby bar is a lovely bloke but will charge you double the price that you would pay elsewhere for 2% lager and blatantly watered down vodka, Kamanitza beer is around 2% Zagorka is around 5.5% and cost the same. I have often bragged that regardless how bad hotel food is that I could find something to eat, The Slavyanski hotel put a stop to that, its the worst food I have ever encountered and we often stay in 'budget' hotels, typical fare is powdered mashed potato that is so runny you cannot pick it up with a fork, boiled rice with bits of cabbage (cold with 2" of water) and raw, yep I mean raw cauliflower and thats about it! on a good night you may get a shrivelled chicken drumstick or dry (no sauce at all) chunks of liver served with cold oily spaghetti you have to see it to believe it. I will go back to Bulgaria but definitely not to the Slavyanski.

Room Tip: Rooms with a sea view are nice but noisier than the ones at the back.

not the cleanest hotel.
food was horrid....undercooked eggs for breakfast for a start...
sunbeds are free but you can only use them at one side of the pool as the beds on the other side are for the bellvue hotel next door.

An honest report for when we stayed.

The three stars beside the hotel name need to be totally ignored, their is nothing 3 star about this hotel, if lucky maybe a 2.

The rooms were basic and functional, beds are not the most comfortable I have slept in but not the worst. We had a view over the pool and sea which was lovely. The wet room/bathroom was good (toilet roll never got soaked!!) plenty hot water and good pressure. Small tv and small fridge, but all worked.

No kettle in room which was very disappointing and frustrating especially for a so called 3 Star.

Hotel cleanliness was not bad but areas were ignored (lobby male toilet wall), a single mould line was there for the whole two weeks.

Pool was not bad even though it was shared, height of season I can see it being a nightmare! Ladder at the pool bar broken and could be dangerous.

Breakfast was standard continental, don't expect bacon, sausage, black pudding etc.. chicken sausage, spam, fried and scrambled egg, cold meats, cheese and fruit. Exact same every single day. All very basic, edible but far from great. Also the incredibly rude Russians really are annoying. Had one clear a table and drop the dirty plates on my table!! Even though I was sitting there.
Toaster machine well if you wait 30min you might have toast!!

The saving grace of this hotel is the "face" of the hotel, the lobby bar and shop. Both guys dimitri (bar) and George (shop). Do an amazing job, keeping you entertained, hard working, great coffee, good drinks and excellent prices. Without these two you would get frustrated with the place.

Be warned I had some money taken from room and it was totally ignored by hotel, so called long term staff so "couldn't be them! And good at there job!!"

Anyway don't expect fancy and frills but we would probably go back.

Just coming to the end of a 2 week stay at the slavyanski hotel. The hotel is basic but is clean and although the rooms are fairly small they are adequate. Ours had a balcony overlooking the sea & pool which was lovely. The room was serviced daily & the towels changed regularly. We went bed and breakfast, which was ok, but the choice got a bit limited in the last couple of days. The lobby area was comfortable & the bar was well stocked as was the shop & the service was good. The bar always seemed to be open regardless of how late it was, wonder when Dmitri the barman slept. If we were to come back we would make it a week or two earlier as the resort closes at the end of September and lots of place have closed or are in the process of closing. But overall a good value holiday.
